Renee Gadar Bio

Renée Gadar was her family’s hairdresser by age 9 and became known as the community

“kitchen beautician” by age 14. While hair was always a part of her life, she spent a few years

as a seventh- and eighth-grade math teacher honing the skill to educate. As a hair care

professional, Renée worked at Arrojo Studio as a hair cutter in New York for six years,

becoming a senior stylist while advancing her skills in textured hair. She continues to learn while

understanding the more one discovers, the more there is to know. Drawing from her earliest

hairdressing days to her current epiphanies and expertise, she strives to educate others about

the fascinating range and depth of all hair textures. Renée has applied many of these skills as

the Aveda Global Artistic Director of Texture where she lead shoots, built concepts, developed

product for textured hair and wrote education for both the salon spaces and cosmetology

schools. While noticing the gaps in these spaces, Renee worked toward changing laws for

better inclusivity in the beauty space leading to a change in licensure. Now back to being

independent, Renee is building education of her own.

Refund Policy

For Benjamin Development classes & workshops

Cancellations by you

We understand that plans change. The following schedule applies to all education bookings:

15+ days before class: A full refund will be issued to your original payment method, less a 5% administration fee.

7–14 days before class: 50% refund, or transfer your spot to a future class of equal value.

Less than 7 days before class: No refund. You may transfer your registration to another person at no charge.

No-shows: No refund or credit will be issued.

Cancellations by us

If we cancel or reschedule a class, you will receive a full refund or the option to transfer to another date at no cost. We are not responsible for travel or accommodation expenses incurred.

Unforeseen circumstances

In the event a class is cancelled or postponed due to circumstances beyond our control — including severe weather, natural disasters, public health emergencies, or government-mandated restrictions — we will offer one of the following at our discretion:

A transfer to the next available class date of equal value.

A credit toward a future Benjamin Development class, valid for 12 months.

Refunds are not guaranteed in these situations, but we will always work with you to find a fair solution. We appreciate your understanding that some events are simply outside anyone’s control.

Non-refundable

Deposits on custom or private group bookings. These are non-refundable unless the booking is cancelled at least 30 days in advance, in which case a refund will be issued less a 5% administration fee.

Contact us with your booking confirmation number. Refunds are processed within 5–7 business days to your original payment method.
